JACKIE WREATH
ALVIRA
JACQUELYN "JACKIE" WREATH, daughter of Marion Ellsworth and Velma
Kathryn (McGinnis) Haught, was born June 16, 1925 on a farm
southwest of Mutual in Woodward County, Oklahoma. She departed
this life, at the age of 86 years, on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at
the Seiling Community Hospital.
Jackie
was raised in the Mutual area where she attended school and
graduated from Mutual High School with the class of 1944. She
was united in marriage to David Webster Wreath October 23, 1943 at
Woodward. They made their home southwest of Mutual where they
raised their children. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering,
quilting and traveling to the mountains. She was well known
for her fried chicken and was an excellent cook. Jackie worked
at both Cowden's and Trego's in Woodward. She worked 22 years
as a cook in the dietary department of the Woodward Hospital before
retiring.
She
is survived by two daughters, Dava Carter and husband Allen of
Seiling and Rhonda Morris of Sharon, one son, David Wreath and wife
Candy of Sharon, a daughter-in-law, Yvonne Wreath of Mutual,
seventeen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and
several great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by
other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by both
parents in 1981, her husband David in 1977, one son, Leroy Wreath in
2000, one grandson Jeffrey Wreath in 1977 and one brother, Lyle
Haught in 1997.
The
funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 at
the Mutual Christian Church with Pastor Dane Looman, officiating.
Interment followed in the Dunlap Cemetery directed by the Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling.
