KATHRYN JAQUITH

 KATHRYN JAQUITH, daughter of John and Margaret (Bauer) Queen, was born June 26, 1928 at Enid, Oklahoma.  She departed this life early Thursday, May 20, 2010 at her home in Seiling.  She was 81 years of age.

      At a young age, she moved to Sharon, OK in Woodward County where she attended a rural elementary school.  She graduated from Sharon High School in 1946.  She married Kenneth Ray Jaquith June 26, 1950 in Seiling where they have continued to make their home.  They had one daughter: Gayle Michelle.

      Kathryn enjoyed caring for her yard, her large rose garden, as well as, other flower beds.  She also liked sewing, knitting, crocheting and cross stitching.  She was a great cook and harvest crews always looked forward to mealtime.

      She is survived by her husband Kenneth Jaquith; one daughter: Gayle Sims of Oklahoma City; one granddaughter: Jennifer Sims and two great granddaughters; two sisters: Cula Burch of Wichita Falls, TX and Athaleen Webb and husband Clifton of Roosevelt.  She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by one sister: Elna Albro.   

      The funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shane Sander, officiating.  Interment followed in the Brumfield Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to the Area Medical Foundation with the Redinger Funeral Home-Box 236-Seiling, OK 73663 serving as custodian of the funds.
