MAX WILLS
MAX
WILLIAM WILLS, son of Crawford and Lorene (Conley) Wills, was born
September 18, 1941 at Buffalo, Oklahoma. He departed this life
late Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Seiling Municipal Hospital.
He was 68 years of age.
Max
was raised and educated at Buffalo where he attended Buffalo School
and graduated from high school there with the class of 1959.
He attended two years of college at Northwestern in Alva. He
entered the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He
received an honorable discharge and returned home to Buffalo.
He was united in marriage to Donna (Garrett) Young, February 5, 1971
at Buffalo. They made their home in Buffalo until 1981 when
they moved to Seiling where they have continued to make their home.
Max worked in the oil and gas industry as a contract pumper until he
retired in January 2010. He was an avid University of Oklahoma
football fan. He also enjoyed trips to Lake Eufaula with his
family and playing washers and horseshoe. He was a
member of the First Christian Church in Buffalo.
He
is survived by his wife, Donna Wills of Seiling; one daughter: Lori
McDaniel and husband Steve of Oklahoma City; two sons: Richard Young
of Palm Springs, CA and Ronald Young and his girlfriend Danelle of
Corpus Christi, TX; three grandchildren: Shaun, Eric and Merin
McDaniel; one sister: Marcelle Akins and husband Raymond of Wichita,
KS; one brother: Curt Wills and wife Karen of Ft. Supply. He
is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives
and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two
sisters: Margaret Wills and Evelyn Hay.
The
funeral service will be held at 10:30 Friday, June 4, 2010 at the
Redinger Funeral Home Chapel with Dennis Adair, Pastor of the First
Christian Church, officiating. The graveside service will be
at 3:00 p.m. in the North Marshall Cemetery in Logan County with
Pastor John Adams, officiating. Services are under the
direction of the Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling.
