RUSTY SULLIVAN

     RUSSELL BRENT “RUSTY” SULLIVAN, son of Granville Lagrand and Opal Inabel (Branham) Sullivan, was born October 9, 1952 at Clinton, Oklahoma.  He departed this life on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at his home in Putnam following a period of illness.  He was 56 years of age. 

      He was known by his family and friends as “Rusty” and he was raised and educated in both Dewey and Custer Counties.  He graduated from Custer City High School with the class of 1970.  He enjoyed the game of basketball, both as a participant and watching the game.  He was also an avid fisherman.  He worked as a farmer most of his life.  He was united in marriage to Mary Kathryn Floyd and they have made their home in Putnam where they own and operate the Putnam Café.

      He is survived by his wife, Kathy Sullivan of Putnam; one son: Chris Sullivan of Texas; two step daughters: Tamara Rena Story of Shawnee and Kassie Kay Bowling of Oklahoma City; four step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; one brother: Randy Sullivan of Putnam and he is also survived by many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 
 
    
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Putnam Christian Church with Pastor Dennis Adair, officiating.  The service was directed by the Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling.
