RUTH ANN "ROOSTER" BUCHANAN

      RUTH ANN (LITTLEMAN) WHITE HORSE-BUCHANAN, daughter of Freddie and Alice (Black) Littleman, was born April 14, 1955 at Clinton, OK.  She went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 9, 2011 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 56 years.

      She was raised in Seiling and graduated from Seiling High School in 1972.  She was known as "Rooster" or "Granny" by her family and friends.  She married Sterling White Horse, Feb. 4, 1972 at El Reno and he preceded her June 17, 1977.  She later married Blane Buchanan and was a homemaker for her family and raised her five daughters, Merlene White Horse and children: Makayla and Anthony Ball; LuAnn White Horse and fiancé Jerry Byrd and children: Aspen and Talon Gambrel, Andrew, Treyla, Samuel, Sadie and Katie Bence; Deana White Horse and husband Eddie Wolfmule and children: Kiley and Aaron Wolfmule; Vina White Crow and children: Jakob, Joseph, II, Zachary and Sterlyn White Crow; Tammi White Horse all of Woodward; one son-in-law, Travis Ball of Waynoka, two sisters: Naomi Partida of Seiling, Kathy and Danny Ricketts of Woodward, two brothers, Robert One Bear of Lawrence, KS and Norman Littleman of Tulsa and numerous relatives and many, many friends.

      She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Littleman, two brothers, Milton "Carl" Littleman and Freddie Allen Littleman, Jr.; two sons: Joe White Crow and Ronald "Putt" Perrin

      She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Woodward. 

      The traditional wake service was held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2011 at the Seiling-Fonda Community Center.  The funeral was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at the Restoration Church with Ricky Mercer and Paul Beartrack, officiating.  Burial will be in the Cantonment Cemetery directed by the Redinger Funeral Home.
